AEL has been honoured with the ESG Award 2026, presented by Ming Pao. This award recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices and contribute to sustainable development. Winners were selected by a distinguished judging panel comprising experts from academia, sustainability, finance and ESG sectors. Earlier, our CEO, Ir Dr Barry Lee, proudly received the award on behalf of AEL at the presentation ceremony. This achievement reflects the dedication of our employees, clients and partners in creating lasting value for our community and the environment. Together, we will continue creating a positive impact on our community and environment.

AEL is proud to announce that, in joint venture with REC Engineering Company Limited (REC), we have been awarded a 3-year term contract by the Drainage Services Department (DSD) of the HKSAR Government (Contract No.: DE/2026/05). This contract covers the maintenance and refurbishment of mechanical and electrical installations at multiple sewage treatment works and pumping stations across the New Territories West and North—critical infrastructure supporting Hong Kong’s wastewater management system.The contract signing ceremony, held on 27 July 2026, marks the official commencement of the contract. By combining our technical expertise and operational excellence with REC, we are committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and safe solutions for essential public facilities.This award reflects DSD’s confidence in our JV’s capabilities and reinforces our commitment to engineering quality, sustainability, and long-term value creation for the community.

To celebrate AEL’s 65th Anniversary, AEL organized a memorable four-day trip to Japan from 26 to 29 June 2026, bringing together directors, colleagues, family members, and friends for a wonderful journey.The itinerary included a half-day tour of Kyoto, where participants experienced the city’s rich cultural heritage and beautiful scenery. In the evening, a World Cup-themed buffet dinner was held in Osaka, featuring delicious food, fun games, and plenty of laughter in a lively and festive atmosphere.More than just a celebration of this important milestone, the trip strengthened the bond within the AEL family. As we mark 65 years of growth and achievement, we look forward to creating even more memorable moments together in the years ahead.
