Corporate ZAEL

Founded in 1992, Associated Engineers Zhuhai S.E.Z. Limited (ZAEL) was originally established as a subsidiary of AEL and played a pivotal role in supporting the Group's expansion into Mainland China. Today, ZAEL operates as a sister company of AEL, maintaining close business relationships, complementary expertise and a shared commitment to engineering excellence. Over the past three decades, ZAEL has developed into a leading provider of environmental engineering and waste handling solutions in the PRC.

To date, ZAEL has designed, supplied and constructed more than 1,000 refuse compaction facilities across major Chinese cities, including Xiamen, Beijing, Qingdao, Changsha, Shanghai, Guilin, Shenzhen, Kunming and Chengdu. One of its most notable achievements was securing the contract for mobile refuse compactors serving the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, which marked a significant milestone in the company's development.

Recognised for its technical expertise and industry leadership, ZAEL was invited to participate in the formulation of industry standards relating to municipal solid waste transfer stations and refuse compaction facilities in China, contributing to the advancement of waste management technology and operational standards nationwide.

Beyond municipal solid waste projects, ZAEL has been actively involved in the design, supply and installation of material handling systems for air cargo terminals and aircraft maintenance facilities at airports throughout Mainland China. In recent years, the company has further expanded its capabilities by providing design-and-build solutions for Automated Refuse Collection Systems (ARCS) and food waste treatment systems serving airports, hospitals and large-scale property developments.

As a sister company of AEL, ZAEL continues to leverage its extensive Mainland China experience and technical expertise to deliver innovative environmental and engineering solutions while strengthening synergies within the wider Associated Engineers network.
