AEL recently hosted a vibrant Spring Banquet, featuring a karaoke contest that brought an engaging and energetic atmosphere to the event. Many colleagues participated by dressing in styles inspired by the 1980s and 1990s, reflecting a distinct retro theme. The occasion was enjoyable and memorable for all attendees.  This morning at AEL, our colleagues came together for an energetic Lion Dance performance to welcome the Chinese New Year. This dynamic and auspicious tradition is thought to usher in good fortune and prosperity while chasing away bad luck.

As part of our Talent Development Programme, we organized a technical visit to the Guangdong–Aachen Industry 4.0 Application Research Centre at Shunde Polytechnic University last week. The visit aimed to enhance our talents’ understanding of smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 applications. Through expert sharing and on site demonstrations, participants gained practical insights into intelligent production systems, automation and digitalised operations.

After the visit, the team travelled to Zhuhai to visit our AEL Zhuhai office and meet the local colleagues. In the evening, they joined the Spring Dinner with the Zhuhai team, providing a great opportunity to network, exchange ideas and strengthen cross border collaboration.

We are proud to announce that AEL, in partnership with SPRING from Qingdao, PRC—a worldwide market leader in MBBR technology—has been awarded the supply contract for the biological treatment process of Hong Kong’s landmark “Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns” project.

We are honoured to contribute our expertise alongside Spring in delivering advanced, reliable wastewater treatment technology that will serve the Sha Tin community for decades to come.
